Tristan's reaction after the Sunday Football game

Tristan is my 1 year old son, the Oakland Raiders are our local NFL football team. Even at the tender age of 18 months of age Tristan can spot some lousy football when he sees it!

Tristan at 3 months

Father's Day adventure

We celebrated Father's day at the Pirates Festival. It was soooooooooo cool!

Spring Party

I met a lot of great and new friends from Mommy's Club. There was a Spring party with a lot of games and prizes. I wasn't so interested in food, but I got to draw with my best friend, Shyanne. Daddy took a picture of us.

Cherry Tree

Daddy took some pictures of Tristan and me. It was a little bit chilly, but we had a lot of fun running between the trees. These trees are so beautiful. Mommy was using a reflector and my eyes couldn't really open when she was using it on me.

Our favorite time of the day is bath time. We love water. We can stay there forever. I help mommy and daddy to wash Tristan too.

Going up

Mommy said that I learned to go down stairs (more like sliding down) first before going up, but Tristan is so fearless. He goes up stairs first. I think he needs Mommy or Daddy's help to go down stairs.

Tristan is a crawler now. He is fast. He likes to keep up with me and chew everything he sees. I don't think they are tasty, but he has to try them to make sure.

Trip back to Taiwan

We took a trip back to Taiwan to see our grandparents (Ah-Gong and Ah-Ma). It was a little bit too short and we wish we could stay longer.

It is almost impossible to have a family picture since Daddy is always the one who's taking pictures. We asked Aunt Ivy to take our family pictures for us in November. She said "To take good pictures, you have to have a great photographer." Thanks to Aunt Ivy. We look awesome!

Trip to Disney

So... We haven't had a chance to update this blog.... Sorry everyone. I know you are ALL anxious to find out how we are doing..... We will try to put up as soon as we can...

We took many trips in 2008. One of them in August was to Disneyland. It was extremely hot. Tristan was a great sport. He couldn't really get on any ride and Mommy had to carry him all the time. Sabrina and her cousins, Wesley and Alven, had a blast.

Tristan, on the other hand, a different story... Since he's sleeping, Sabrina thought to "decorate" him. He's got some jewelries.

I took Dad and Grandfather bowling for fathersday 2008! It was my first time, it was great!

Ah-Gong & Ah-Ma in Europe

Ah-Gong and Ah-Ma (阿公和阿媽) went to Northern Europe. It is very pretty. They said they will take me and Tristan next time.

Me and My brother

I have a new best friend, my brother, Tristan. I love to hold him and give him a lot of kisses. He loves to play with me too. He giggles a lot and smiles at me all the time. He gets up at 6 am, so I can hear him. We are the best pals!

Bowling Day

Mommy and Daddy invited Micah, Branka, Nikola and Alex to bowling with us. I practiced once with Grandmother and Grandfather on Father's day. I'm so happy that Nikola came down and played with me. We shared one lane and competed to see who can knock over the most pins.

Sabrina Turns 4 Years Old...

June 10th was Sabrina's 4th birthday. It was also Taiwan Ah-Ma's birthday!

Sabrina had a party at her daycare with all her friends and had cupcakes that mom and dad made for her. That evening we had some icecream and candles followed by a visit to the Ice Skating rink.

Sabrina was a great skater and had lots of fun!

Easter

Dad and I went out and had lots of fun at the Valley Christian Easter carnival! Maybe next year mom and Tristan can come...

Dinner time...

Tea Time...

Last week dad got me a really cool play tea-set. I love it. I can now sit down with all my stuffed friends for a tea party!

Taipei children's Transportation museum

Close by my Ah-Gongs office is the children's Transportation museum where they have a very impressive underground playground. I visited it several times with my cousins Wesley and Alven.

Dinner at Young Ming Mountain National Park

High atop Young Ming Mountain is a very special restaurant overlooking the city of Taipei.


My whole family went to dinner here. My Ah-Ma, Ah-Gong, Uncle Vincent, his Girlfriend Phil, and of course Aunt Ivy, and my cousins Wesley and Alven. We all had so much fun!

Trip to Taiwan

I am off to visit my faimly in Taiwan.

On Sunday we left on EVA Airways to Taipei

I was a good girl and slept much of the flight.

Although I am tired, I still want to play with my cousins, Wesley and Alven.

Encinitas Visit

In January Dad and I took a flight down to San Diego to visit with my Grandparents. Dad rented a really cool new Mustang and Grandfather taught me how to drive it around the house!

Later we went inside and Grandfather and I played some music on the keyboard!
I really had fun and dad took some pictures.


On Friday
We went to lunch in Vista with my Great Grandparents, Byron and Ellie. Grandmother and Uncle Terry joined us as well.

Snow Day...

It has been very cold here in Dublin.
Last week it even dusted the hills with snow!

Knotts Berry Farm

Last week Ba-ba took me on an airplane ride to beautiful and warm San Diego, to visit my Ah-ma (Grandmother) and Ah-Gong (Grandfather). I also saw my Great Grandparents Byron and Ellie, and Uncle Terry too!
On Sunday we took a trip to Knots Berry Farm with my Cousins, Wesley & Alven and Uncle Sean and Aunt Ivy. Although I didn't see any berries, I had lots of fun playing with my Cousins!

The Dublin California Cox family has had a busy 2005

I am 20 months old now and growing fast. I stay busy playing with Ma-ma & Ba-ba (Daddy in Chinese) in the mornings and sometimes visiting my friends at daycare. I love to play at the park as well. My favorite things at the park are the swings and the slides. Recently the park near my home was expanded and more new toys were added!
Ma-ma has had a busy and productive year as well. This fall alone she became a US citizen, changed jobs, spent a month with me visiting Taiwan and began taking courses to get her real-estate brokers license. Ma-ma’s new job is the same work she was doing as a real-estate loan officer, but her new office is much closer to home.


Ba-ba is now a senior captain at ExpressJet Airlines, the small jet feeder for Continental Airlines. They fly most of North America and have one type of plane, the Embraer 145, a 50 seat Jet. Although now Baba can get the schedules he wants he hope to interview with Southwest or Jet Blue in 2006. The rest of the big airlines probably won’t do any hiring for a few years yet. Ba-ba’s airline recently started Los Angles service and lately he has been doing the long overnights out there.
One of our highlights this year was an extended trip to Taiwan, the island country where Ma-ma was born and raised. Taiwan is a beautiful green island with tropical coastlines and volcanic mountains in the interior. Taiwan is a very modern country located between (and similar to) Japan and Hong Kong. The world’s tallest building, called the Taipei 101 was just finished last year. Ma-ma and Ba-ba visited the top floor and said the view was great! Ma-ma, Ba-ba, and I visit Taiwan regularly, but this time we had an extended stay for several weeks and were able to travel much of the island on 2 separate 4-day excursions planned out by Ma-ma’s parents and Uncle Vincent.
I am growing up so quick! Only 4 months away from my second birthday now! I am beginning to resemble a toddler more than a baby now, but I still like to be treated like a baby sometimes. I loves to dance and sing and will carry on a phone conversation in baby talk. I speak and understand both English and Chinese. My favorite food is strawberries from my backyard garden, and Mein-meim (Chinese for noodles). I travel often and am always excited to be out of the house. I love to ride on airplanes, trains, busses and escalators. I was able to get rides on these daily in Taiwan!
Ba-ba is an avid photographer (a photojournalism major in school) and has so many great photos of the family and our travels. I hope to get him to post some here on my Blog and on our family website at Annie-Chris.com. Currently the website has not seen an update in some time. Partly due to the untimely death of Ba-ba’s laptop computer. A new one has just arrived and I hope see new stuff up very soon.
Ma-ma, Ba-ba and I still live in our house in Dublin, California, located in the San Francisco bay region. We are 30 minutes away from all 3 bay area airports, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, and the BART rapid transit train runs within a mile of our house. We have lots of room for guests and family is always welcome.
